Therefore, I push myself artistically to create love stories through the images that are both natural and flattering. As I am aware of how much effort goes into planning your big day, I do everything I can to provide you with amazing and unique images from your wedding day. It takes a sharp eye to capture the perfect moments that often happen in a matter of seconds, but years of experience have trained me to capture these candid and natural moments, which is part of what makes my photos extraordinary. Don’t overwhelm yourself with all the wedding day inspiration that’s out there—which can be distracting, to say the least. Once you’ve honed in on your particular wedding style, try to stay focused on ideas and inspo that align with your larger vision. You can use checklists, spreadsheets, Word/Excel/Google Docs—anything, really—as long as you can gather all your thoughts, budgets, numbers, etc., in one place. There are also some great online tools and apps out there that can keep you organized. Don’t feel like you’re in this wedding planning process alone. Consult with and ask your partner for help along the way; their trusted opinion is bound to be invaluable and—even if they’re only involved in some aspects—it makes wedding planning that much more fun when you can make decisions together.

And here is our daily trick for photographers: A Shot List Will Help You Capture Those Key Photos. A shot list is a checklist of the images you want to capture during a shoot. Whether it is a birthday party or an industry mixer, a shot list can help you and your client organise better. Your client will know what to expect from you, and you’ll know what to provide. You can make sure that your client is well aware of the limits of the photo session. And that they understand what to expect from your services. The shot list also acts as on-paper proof. Your client can’t claim that you missed a shot that wasn’t disclosed to you. A shot list ensures that no critical images are missing from your photo shoot. Nothing is worse than not capturing a photograph that your client really, really wanted. Ask the event organizer for help here, if there is one. They can point out the key attendees for corporate event photos, for example. Or the key people at a high school reunion event.

Again, this will depend on your budget. (Fair warning: Most everything will!) But if your funds allow—or if your peace of mind depends on it—now is the time to tap the manager of your big day. This person will be your right-hand woman (or man!) and will guide you in all decisions, from selecting a venue to tracking your budget and handling all the logistics. Now’s the time to sit down and have another heart-to-heart convo with your partner. After all, the vibe of your wedding needs to be a mutual decision between the two guests of honor. To get the conversation flowing, pour a glass of wine/water/tea and ask yourself: What’s important to you and why? What do you value? Also, know that your venue—more on that, below—is going to affect all of this. (Because, in most cases, we’d argue against a glam, black-tie theme for a barn wedding.)

Do you prefer a timeless, classic look? Or would you rather have photos taken that look like they came straight out of Vogue magazine? Not quite sure what you want? Don’t worry – as an experienced wedding photographer, I would love to guide you and hopefully help you choose the right wedding photography style for your big day. When trying to understand the difference between each style of photography, there are three main components you should consider. See additional information at https://www.belmontphoto.dk/.
