Building your career with transformative teaching… To transform is to convert through a dramatic change into something that didn’t exist before, altering structure, condition, character, or appearance. If any of these words caused your stomach to tighten, it might be because making big life changes seems some terrifying thing you’ve been procrastinating about for a long time. If you’re struggling to lean into the new you that’s been spotlighted in your dreams, transformational coaching may be the thing you’ve been looking for.

Coaching is an incredibly powerful tool to support the grounding of transformation into reality. Transformational Coaches are aligned with the knowing that we are all so much more than bodies, egos, suffering and struggling. They know that each of us has incredibly powerful, untapped resources. These coaches want to bring their clients to their highest potential, beyond fears and resistance. And, they know how to tap into that richness and do so through inquiry. When deep inquiry is integrated with authentic curiosity and heart felt compassion, transformation occurs.

Transformational coaching now, and in the future, is being shaped by what’s gone before. Coaching, per se, still has a relatively young history. However, already we’re waving goodbye to some of the more dinosaur methods of old. Instead, coaching is becoming an increasingly professional endeavour, as it really should. We’re not there yet. There are still lessons to be learned, and changes to be made to transformational coaching itself. Don’t try to be everything to everyone. Focus. Relentlessly grow as a professional. Have a vision for yourself and pursue diligently. Though progress requires action, sometimes we can be too quick to act. Sometimes a momentary pause is all we need to see a challenge from a different perspective, therefore resulting in a different and more effective approach. Thinking and acting are not mutually exclusive. Switching perspective from “me” to “you” switches everything. The saying “people don’t care who you are until they know what you can do from them” is absolutely true! Anyone wanting to influence anyone else must first know what is already influencing them. You do that by asking enough questions to truly understand what they need, and then packaging what you want in a way that meets their needs first.

It is well known that knowledge retention can be significantly improved with the addition of a new element in the learning process, even if it is something as simple as a drag and drop interaction.
